At the main round-about in Rawtenstall follow the signs for A681 Bacup. Approx. 2 miles from Rawtenstall you will reach a mini roundabout at Waterfoot.
Continue straight on at the first mini round-about and turn first right at the second mini round-about onto Cowpe Road, this is just after the Royal Hotel.
On Cowpe Road head straight on ignoring the fork for Carr Lane.
Turn right opposite the car park for the Buck Inn and do a ‘U’ turn along the front of Brookland Terrace (following the green sign for Top of Leach).
At the end of Brookland Terrace turn left between 2 green garages.
You will see a sign at the bottom of the road for Tippett Farm.
Head straight up the concrete road for approx 250m and we are at the top of the track over the cattle grid.
